Day 17 -- High Voltage/Contrast
No...I didn't plan this
One day we were driving by Krispy Kreme and decided to go in and show Jane the doughnut factory. She absolutely loves it there and the pictures turned out so cute because she was wearing the store's colors. But despite this being something I would think about for scrapbook purposes...it was just a happy coincedence.
A lesson on aperture
On of the great things about this blog is it's really motivating me to learn how to use my camera (and hopefully Photoshop, too). The other day Zack gave me a lesson on aperture and this is one of the shots I took.
Tree Magic
Whenever I am traveling, I very seldom take general "travel" photos... I am not sure why but I look for individual shots that represent where I have been. And I guess since GG loves flowers, I end up take a lot of those type shots... Well here is another one in this category...

Corn on the Cob
We saw this building while we were on our boat tour in Chicago. They call it the corn on the cob building and it fits it's name perfectly.
Just a Weed
While pulled over to take pictures of birds in the ocean on the famous Highway 1 that runs from Miami to Key West, I noticed this very small weed in the grass that most people just walk on... Just to show there is beauty in some of the smallest weeds.

I don't like this Picture...
So, someone snuck this picture into our bedroom and replaced one of our pictures with it. I first saw it after Koen said "I don't like that picture" and pointed to it. No offense to anyone fond of this picture. But we opted not to leave it hung up on our wall.

City Lights
I can't take credit for the taking of the picture, but I am the subject in it. This was part of Nicholas' digital photo gallery when we were down at snow. It's kinda hard to see but it's a picture of new york city shining across my eye lid.

Big Boy Bed!!!
Koen took his first nap in his new bed today. And he's trying it out for his first night tonight as well.
Harmon Conference Center - BYU Campus
Michelle and I spent a good part of the day taking pictures on BYU campus today for a work project. Together we took over 400 pictures. I guess we're set for the next 365 days, easy. Just kidding.
More Beautiful Fungus
Walking through the forest at my new favorite camping spot in Michigan last summer I came across this beauty... Had to get my shirt muddy laying on my stomach to get the shot, but I think it was worth it.
